For small and precise molds, the fixture should be adjusted to avoid damaging the mold during fixing; for large molds, ensure that the fixing is firm to prevent the mold from moving during sandblasting, which affects the cleaning effect.
 
Step 3: Parameter Adjustment of Sandblaster Machine
 
Close the door of the Sandblasting Cabinet and start the Sandblaster Machine and air compressor. According to the type of mold and the degree of contamination, adjust the key parameters of the Sandblasting Equipment: for PVC molds, the pressure of the Sandblaster Machine can be adjusted to 0.4-0.6MPa, and the abrasive flow rate can be appropriately increased; for silicone molds, the pressure should be adjusted to 0.2-0.4MPa to avoid damaging the mold surface, and the abrasive flow rate should be controlled at a moderate level. If using the Bead Blasting Cabinet, adjust the size of the abrasive particles according to the mold precision to ensure that the cleaning effect and mold safety are both considered.
 
Step 4: Sandblasting Cleaning
 
Hold the sandblasting gun inside the Sandblasting Cabinet through the operation hole, align the gun head with the mold surface to be cleaned, and start sandblasting. During the operation, move the sandblasting gun evenly to ensure that every part of the mold surface is evenly impacted by the abrasive. For the gaps and corners of the mold, the angle of the sandblasting gun can be adjusted to ensure that the residues in these positions are completely removed. For PVC molds with stubborn residues, the sandblasting time can be appropriately extended, but the pressure should not be increased at will to avoid damaging the mold cavity. For silicone molds, pay attention to observing the mold surface during sandblasting, and stop sandblasting in time when the surface is clean to prevent over-sandblasting from damaging the mold.
 
Step 5: Post cleaning Treatment of Molds
 
After the sandblasting is completed, turn off the Sandblaster Machine and air compressor, open the door of the Sandblasting Cabinet or Bead Blasting Cabinet, take out the mold, and use a clean air gun to blow off the residual abrasive and dust on the mold surface. Then wipe the mold surface with a clean cloth to ensure that the mold surface is clean and free of abrasive residues. For PVC molds, check whether the mold cavity is smooth and whether there are scratches; for silicone molds, check whether the mold surface is intact and whether there is deformation. If there are unclean areas, secondary sandblasting can be carried out.
 
Step 6: Equipment Maintenance and Storage
 
After the operation, clean the Sandblasting Cabinet or Bead Blasting Cabinet, remove the residual abrasive and dust inside the cabinet, and check whether the sandblasting gun and air pipe are blocked. Clean the abrasive storage tank of the Sandblaster Machine, and add new abrasive in time if the abrasive is insufficient. Check the oil level of the air compressor and the wear of the sealing gasket of the Sandblasting Cabinet, and maintain and replace them in time.
